Most insurances pay for regular diagnostic tests ordered by Naturopathic Physicians in CT. The ones that are not included are kept at a reduced rate. Dr. Brody maintains a CLIA Waived lab at his Newtown, CT office. Dr. Brody does regular order lab testing through Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, and Mercy Diagnostics for more comprehensive lab testing. Please confirm with your insurance company which laboratory is covered by your health insurance plan. The in-house testing that Dr. Brody offers includes:
Blood Typing– This is a screening test that looks for the ABO and Rh blood types. This test is confirmed with results from Quest Labs or Lab Corp. Dr. Brody checks for your secretor status along with your A1/A2 status from Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, or 23andMe.
Hydrogen Breath Testing– There is a free screening test that Dr. Brody can offer to his new patients. If these levels come back elevated it might indicate that there is a problem with the digestive tract which warrants a complete two or three-hour fasting test. The complete two-hour and three-hour fasting tests are usually covered by insurance. 
Urine Analysis- This test is covered by most insurance companies and can detect bacteria infections in the urinary tract. This test can also ID blood sugar issues, kidney problems, along with hydration status.
