We currently accept the following insurances:
- Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Husky (Dr. Ferraro only).
We are currently unable to accept Medicare. If Medicare is your primary insurance, then we will not be able to accept your insurance. Please note that there are plans with Aetna and Anthem that run through Medicare. If you have one of these plans, they will not be covered.
Our contract with UnitedHealthcare expired on February 8th, 2024. Our contract with ConnectiCare expired on June 1st, 2024.
If your insurance company is not listed, we can still accept you as a new patient. We offer affordable out-of-pocket rates. Having problems deciding which visit type is right for you? Click here for a description of visits.
For new patients, please make sure that the paperwork is filled out before 9:00am the day of your appointment, otherwise you will be considered a no-show and your appointment will be canceled unless you have contacted the office.
Please note that as a naturopathic gastroenterologist, Dr. Brody is a digestive specialist. At this point, Dr. Brody is only seeing digestive patients. All other patients will be referred to Dr. Ferraro.
Dr. Ferraro specializes in pediatrics, women’s health, and acupuncture with years of practice in digestive health as well. If your needs fall under another field of expertise, you may be referred out.
Currently Accepting New Patients
For your first appointment, our physicians will provide a complete naturopathic intake, physical exam, and treatment protocol. Afterward, we will order lab tests. If you have any older lab tests from (within the last year), please bring these in.
Please note that after your appointment has been booked, paperwork will be sent out electronically in the form of questionnaires through ChARM. If this paperwork is not done by 9:00 am the day of your appointment, we will assume that you are not attending and your appointment will be canceled. If you still show up, your appointment is still cancelled but you will be provided the paperwork to fill out.
After your first appointment, we will book your follow-up visit which will cover your personalized diet plan (SWAMI). The SWAMI diet currently costs $115, or $122.30 after tax. This applies to both digital and paper copies. To learn more, please click here.
Questionnaires
For every appointment, we send out a questionnaire that asks for some information that our physicians can use to give you a more effective and efficient visit. For a patient’s first visit, we do send out a few more forms that need to be filled out before your appointment. We do ask that the questionnaire gets filled out in advance, that way our physicians can go over your answers and provide you with a personalized appointment!
Directions
84 West and 84 East: Take Exit 11, and make a left off the exit ramp at the light. You will continue up the hill after it splits into two lanes and merges back together. You will continue straight through an intersection with a stoplight, with the Reed Intermediate School on your right and Fairfield Hills on your left. After the intersection, there will be a small hill and you will pass a side street on the right. We are in the plaza on the right directly after this side street, about halfway up the hill.
The entrance to our plaza is before the traffic light. Our office entrance is facing the street, and there is parking available on the sides and back of the building.
We currently have the pleasure of sharing our office with the Everwonder Children’s Museum.
