It’s official.
As of May 16th, 2019, the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine in Bridgeport has officially closed its doors.
While the University of Bridgeport will begin offering shifts for generative medicine, the COE leaves very large shoes to fill. Dr. Peter D’Adamo, the founder of the COE, has long been one of the leading scientists in naturopathic medicine. Dr. D’Adamo’s research created scientific advances that are still being independently verified decades later. After researching and practicing for decades, Dr. D’Adamo was able to work with the University of Bridgeport to establish a hands-on teaching facility for students learning the naturopathic practice. The COE has been a facility of enhanced learning, countless hours of training, and a fantastic source of experience as students work alongside established doctors to treat large quantities of patients.
From Student to Mentor
As Dr. Brody made the steps from enthusiastic student to a naturopathic physician and experienced teacher, it was clear that Dr. D’Adamo had a profound influence on his approach, mentally, and choice of practice decor. With copies of the Eat Right 4 Your Type books lining the bookcase and various D’Adamo supplements lining the shelves, the influence was unmistakable. A practitioner and a champion of D’Adamo’s SWAMI diet and Opus23 genetic test, Dr. Brody has taken the research of his mentor and has applied it to treat and enhance the lives of his patients, allowing D’Adamo’s work to spread and help even more people. And just as Dr. D’Adamo has always been forward-thinking in creating new ways to reach his patients, Dr. Brody has begun offering telemedicine appointments for patients who can’t make it into the office.
Just as his mentor had before him, Dr. Brody teaches classes at the University of Bridgeport’s School of Naturopathic Medicine, passing on information to help shape an even stronger generation of doctors.
All good things must come to an end, but luckily for us, Dr. D’Adamo isn’t retiring just yet. His next project is HouseCall, a telemedicine service that allows patients from all over the world to seek medical assistance from one of the leading medical minds in the area. While the University of Bridgeport is offering generative medicine shifts for those who want to see a doctor in person, there is no replacement for the years of research and study offered by a consultation with Dr. D’Adamo.
