Dr. Brody’s Natural Approach to Lyme Disease
There are many different infections in existence that can cause muscle and joint pain. Most infamously, Lyme and other tick-borne bacteria/spirochetes are major antagonists here in the United States. When it comes to Lyme disease and its co-infections, I take the approach of giving the body what it needs, taking out the trash, and increasing vitality. In the case of Lyme disease, I want to throw the spirochete (Borrelia burgdorferi) out with the bathwater. If I have a trash can sitting in my kitchen with the leftovers sitting there for weeks, you will notice that those little fruit flies will start to appear. If I take the approach of trying to catch each one of those flies, I will be running west to see the sunrise. I would instead take the trash bag out of the can and throw it out. This takes care of the Lyme disease, but most importantly the environment that allowed the Lyme disease to make itself at home.
