“Please remove all metal” is a phrase I find myself saying to patients on a daily basis. The same way a TSA officer asks you to remove all metal before going through a metal detector, I ask my patients to remove all metal before I hook them up to the Bio-Impedence Analysis machine, aka BIA. Why am I hooking my patients up to this machine and why must they remove all metal? It’s one of the few ways I can measure the health of their cells.
Think of each of your cells as a fish bowl made entirely out of wax. The waxy barrier keeps the water on the inside of the tank where it belongs. Now imagine that I place that waxy fish bowl in the freezer. The waxy sides of the tank are going to become rigid and condense. This makes for a very brittle, non pliable container. When I place that same waxy fish tank in the sun, it’s going to become fluid and that waxy barrier is going to expand. This is the ideal state for your cells. We want our cells to be in a soft, pliable state so they can function with 100% efficiency and have an anti-aging effect.
When your cells are in this energized warm state, they are able to communicate with each other and change to suit your body’s needs. The BIA provides a result called the Phase Angle which allows me to detect, measure and monitor how thick and pliable your cells are. The Phase Angle is the key to anti-aging and disease prevention. I like to see this around a 7 but it can vary from person to person.
With the BIA, I am also able to detect where the water is inside your body. We want most of the water inside the cell and not on the outside. We are looking for a 60:40 ratio with a majority of water on the inside of your cell. After all, your cells are the powerhouses of your body and need to stay hydrated to get their jobs done. I can also detect your BMI, fat mass, muscle mass and much more. Its truly a wonderfully simple test.
What happens if your phase angle is not around that 7 range? Along with diet and lifestyle modifications, I might add something called a morning cellular drink or membrosia. This can make your cells more like those warm, waxy fish tanks. This helps with anti-aging, overall health, and makes all my other treatments and diet modifications that much more effective.
I am asking you to remove all metal from your person as this can skew the results of the test giving us an inaccurate measurement. The test itself is very quick and usually takes longer to set up than it does to run. During the test you will not feel a thing as a small current is being passed through your body. The only thing I need is your height, weight, age, and sex and I can find out how young your cells feel. So please remove all coins and don’t be startled when the printer starts printing out your results. It will only take a few moments, so please relax and breathe.
