Love it or hate it homeopathy is here to stay. Homeopathy is an Over the Counter (OTC) drug that can be used to treat and heal a multitude of symptoms. It works via a process of dilutions that uses extremely low doses of plant, mineral, animal, ingredients to provoke the body to start healing. I like to look at it like a forest fire. When there is a fire in a forest firefighter will go ahead of the blaze and light smaller controlled fires. This then reduces the main fire as it burns itself out.
Homeopathy has been around for 100’s of years and it has been incorporated into many different types of medical schools here in the US at one point in time. This form of Western Medicine was once a big component in allopathic medicine but and is still licensed in a few states. For example in the State of Connecticut you can only call yourself a homeopath if you are a Medical Doctor who sits for your Homeopathic Medical Doctor (HMD) License. This does not mean that only HMD’s can use homeopathy but instead that the term homeopathic is a protected term.
While I do not use much homeopathy in my practice but I do use it from time to time.
